WEED CONTROL IN ONION (Allium cepa L.) CROPPING UNDER The YEMENI CENTRAL HIGHLAND CONDITIONS

Summary

The experiment was carried out at the research station farm for three consecutive seasons (93, 94, 1995). The on-farm verification trial of the promising treatment was conducted in 1997. The experiment aimed at determining the most effective method for controlling weeds growing in onion fields. Among the various treatments, findings revealed that the marginal return rate of the “Tribonel” (1.5 kg/ha) was 475.85%, followed by 2-stages manual weeding (381.83), and lastly the treatment of continued manual weeding (52.27%).
