FARMERS ADOPTION PATTERN OF RECOMMENDED CULTIVATION PRACTICES OF POTATO CROP IN THE CENTRAL HIGHLANDS OF YEMEN

Summary

From the findings of the study, it could be concluded that majority of the respondents (80.83 %) belonged to medium category of adopters followed by high adopters (15.00 %) and low adopters (4.17 %) categories. Item analysis on extent of adoption, indicated that majority of the respondents (91.76 %) practiced (duration of potato crop) correctly followed by (chemicals used for diseases control) (87.5 %) and recommended (spacing between plants) (84.17 %). None of the respondents had adopted the recommended (chemicals used for seeds treatment).
