A verification trail was conducted during the season 2005 / 2006 at two sites located in the coastal plain of Abyan Delta ( 15 - 30 m. a. s. l. ) are : El-Kod and Al-Sama. It aimed to study the effect of plants numbers in hole and nitrogen fertilizer on yield of tomato ( Lycopersicon escolentum ). cv. Riogrand The trial included three treatments were : (a) Three plants in hole, which gives 107142 plant per hectar (New recommendation). (b) Two plants in hole, which gives 71428 plant per hectar (New recommendation). (c) One plant in hole, which: gives 35714 plant per hectar (Farmer's practice). 164 kg N per hectar (new recommendation).was added to ( a ) and ( b ) treatments, whereas 110 kg N per hectar ( old recommendation ) was added to ( c ) treatment. The treatments were distributed in five replicates in randomized complete blocks design. After statistical analysis the results show there were significantly increased total and marketable yield with increasing the number of plants in hole from one to two plants or from one to three, whereas the average of fruit weight was significantly decreased when the number of plant was increase. And there was no significant effect on the infected fruits by American worm ( Heliothis armigcra ) or blossom end rot. Results also indicated that no significant interaction between number of plants in hole and sites in all studied yield indicators. The economical evaluation show that the new recommendation ( two plants in
