The research and extension services are carried out by different agencies in Yemen. This led to the establishment of R-E linkage mechanisms. These linkages were few and irregular at earlier stage such as occasional coordinational meetings, verification trials and limited circulation of research reports. Later, some more linkage mechanisms have been established and improved such as the improved monthly workshop, on-farm trials, technical committee meetings, production recommendations workshops and the like.
