Summary

This research aimed to study number and time of foliar spray by zinc chelate with amino acids to the rate of the perfect, stiminate, vegetative, fruit set, yield and its quality to var (Al-Qiassy). This research was executed in a field planted with olive trees in town (Taybet AL-Eymam-Hama, province, Syria). In addition to the control (without foliar apray), the study included following treatment of foliar spray by zinc chelate amino acids concentrate (100 ppm Zn): 1) one time before flowering; 2) two times before flowering and after fruit set; 3) three times before flowering - after fruit set and during the pit hardening; 4) four times before flowering - after fruit set - during the pit hardening. No significant difference on average number of inflorescence on a branch, complete number of flower on branch, and perfect flowers. Zinc affected positively percentage of fruit set. Average fruit set reached 7.03% (5.55% in the control). The two-time spray treatment resulted in an average production increase to 32.4 Kg/tree as compared to the control (17.6 Kg/tree). The application of four times spray by zinc, increased also the weight of fruit (6.43g) compared to the control treatment (5.23g).
