The first issue of the Yemeni Jou rnal for Agricultu ral Resea rch and Studies appea red in 1994. But its regula r pu blication was only possi ble in the year 2000. Thereafter when the jou rnal appea red twice annually . This pa per attem pts to review and analyze the jou rnal 's pu blished issues to identify general featu res of its contents and authorshi p using the seven jou rnal issues so far appea red as study sam ple. Content analysis approach was used with appropriate descriptive statistics to analyze the data. Results of study showed that the total nu m ber of subjects pu blished amo u nted 82 subjects i n va ried forms such as "resea rch articles", "studies and general articles", "book reviews", "theses sum ma ries", and the like. "Resea rch papers" ranked first with 65% of the total nu mber of subjects. With rega rd to scientific disciplines covered by the jou rnal, it was found that "Plant Protection", and "Socio-economic sciences" ra nked first with 22 subjects each. While "animal prod uction", and "Horticultu re crops" ranked second with Eight subjects each. "Crop Prod uction", and "Natural Resou rces" ranked third with 7 subjects each. Remai ning subjects have fallen within other discipline categories with fewer nu m bers such as "Farm mecha nization", "Food Research and Post Harvest Tech nology".
