SCREENING OF PESTICIDES FOR THE CONTROL OF BATRACHEDRA AA4YDRAUAL MEYR.

Summary

A study was Conducted in Hadramout Valley Republic of yemen for screening seven insecticides Fenvalerate.Ec. 10 (Sumicidin), Pennethrin . Ec. 50( Pounce ) , Pirimiphos . methyl. Ec.50 (Actellic ), Phoxim.Ee 50(folaton). falathion.Ec .50(Malathion),Tetrachlorvinpho Wp75 ((gardona ) and Carbaryl - Wp- 85 ( Sevin ), at toncentration of 0.1°o for the first four, (J 2 %, for malathion and 0.4% for the last two, to control the lesser date moth ( B. amydraula M. ) on date palm . The study consists of three trails that were carried out in three successive years : 1978, 79. 80 in randomised complete block design. The results of the study indicated the insecticides : carbaryl and malathion have a high efficiency to control the insect if one of them is sprayed twice, the first spray is after two weeks from Pollenati on and the second is after two weeks from the first .
