In the season of 99/2000 this trial was conducted in Wadi Hadramout in two Sites for testing Cyromazine (Trigard, 75-WP) at three doses for control of the Leaf miner (L. trifolii) on alfalfa as compared with locally used Dimethoate (0.1%). The complete randomized black design in four replicates was used. Results indicated that Cyromazine at medium dose was econamical and effective for the control of the insect as compared with Dimethoate. The Statistical analysis (P=0.05) of decreasing insect infestation rate after spraying, showed that all tested insecticides treatments gave high rate than the control treatment with significant differences. The Cyromazine with medium dose decreased insect infestation as compared to other two treatments of Cyromazine and Dimethoate with significant differences. The efficiacy of Cyromazine with medium dose led to increase in fodder production of alfalfa. .....
