The study aimed to know the trend of kinds of animals, to identify the main economic factors affecting meat production in Republic of Yemen and to study development and effects of these factors on quantity of meat production during the period of ( 1985-2001). The study showed that stocking rate, index of fodder price with one year time lagged, technology factor ( Time), volume of animal flock, real value of livestock production credit, relative price of red meat to chicken with one year time lagged with one year time lagged, real price of red meat with one year time lagged and the quantity of available fodder were the main independent variables which affect significantly the quantity produced from red meat. The study recommended: ( 1) Increasing the animals flock and putting enough control to prevent exhaustion of this flock and develop their numbers. ( 2) Increasing investments credits to develop animals, specially fattening projects. ( 3) Providing of fodder needed for animals’ production with suitable quantity and price. ( 4) Developing the range land to introduce improved fodder varieties with higher yield and nutritious value.......
