Summary

The results of this study showed the effectiveness of the bacterial powder (P. fluorescents) against fungi that cause rot of cotton seeds and seedlings damping-off. The product used as a biocide after uploaded on some inert, distributer and adhesive materials by the seed coating technique. The bacterial powder showed statistically significant effect in the control of the disease and in reducing the severity and ratio of the infection. Such results encourage the commercial production of this biological agent because of its high effectiveness against pathogenic fungi and its contribution to the use reduction of chemical pesticides and hence its role in lessening environmental pollution
