Summary

This research was carried out in Fidio Dairy Cattle Station, Latakia province, Syria, in 2007. Cows (194) were distributed in six groups according to amount of produced morning milk, with measurements on (80 cows): group 1 "patient/19 cow" (amount of milk was 6 kg, and cows measured were 8); group 2 "high production" (48 cows) (amount of milk was 11 kg, and cows measured were 16), group 3 "high production" (43 cows) (amount of milk was 9 kg, and cows measured were 16), group 4 "Medium production" (34 cows) (amount of milk was 7 kg and cows measured were 16), group 5 "low production" (34 cows) (amount of milk was 5 kg and cows measured were 16), group 6 "slow lactation and high production" (16 cows) (amount of milk was 8 kg cows and measured were 8). This research aimed to reduce excess time in milking process mechanism which was estimated at 47% of milking time of 150 minutes. It also aimed at improving preparation and automatic cows milking to increase amount of milk production and reduce costs. Groups 2 and 3 showed significant increase in milking time rate compared to other groups. Group 6 showed significant increase in milking time rate compared with other groups as cows were not exactly suitable for machine milking. Putting cows of slow milk ejection into one group reduced lost time. Using metal barrier between incomplete groups and between heifers reduced lost time and increased milk production rate.
