Analytic Study of Quotient Pluviometric as An indicator of Climate Change in the North- Western Region of Syria

Safa'a Al-Kilani
Summary

It is expected that Syria will be suffering from climate change, as other Western –Asian and North African states (WANA). Indeed the predicted information using mathematical models pointed out that the (WANA) will be among the suffering regions from the rainfall decreasing, besides the increasing of temperature phenomenon and increasing of dry periods ( Giannakopoulos et. al., 2005). It will be refluxed on the agriculture and aquifers in Syria. The aim of this research in the northwestern of Syria (Idleb region) is to study the influence of this region climate changes depending on the quotient pluviometric which referring to Emberger equation. According to the following, changes by Emberger equation – classification in the region during (20) years, the results of research pointed out that the reason of these changes caused by the effect of low level in the rainfall rates, more than the effect of temperature increasing. It is noted also according to the slope of studied region classification from the sub-moisture bio-climate level to dry bio-climate level, which the temperature phenomenon changed from mid- cold to fair level, except the 1992 year. It was relatively cold.
