The need for Information and Communication Technology in development strategies is becoming a worldwide phenomenon as the agricultural information systems are undergoing significant changes. Some countries have developed policies and strategies that would help adapting to internal and external changes. In Yemen, during the last 5 years, a rapid expansion took place on the use of information technology and agricultural information system. There are some organizations, directorates and centers specialized, in one way or the other, in processing and communication of agricultural information. These are functioning under some ministries, agricultural faculties, research and rural development institutions, and private companies. However, the use of developed information system in agriculture sector could not grow rapidly at pace of information systems development in other sectors such as industrial and political affairs. It could be said that there is still a lack of a real basis of information systems particularly in agricultural and rural development sectors.......
