Five Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum - graecum L.) Cultivars were evaluated for yield and related characters in comparison to the check, in summer seasons (2003 - 2005) under farmers' conditions in Kohlan affar (Haja Gov.); Bani Mater (Sana'a Gov.) and Shebam Kawkaban (AI Mahweet Gov.) area in the Northern highlands of Yemen . Results indicated that the check variety was the latest in flowering and differed significantly from other cultivars. Single and combined analysis of Variance showed that Fenugreek Cultivars varied in their performance under the three environmental conditions for all tested traits. The best grain yield over locations and seasons was given by "YG - 13" (1129.2 Kg/ha), followed by "GY - 1O" (1005.4 Kg/ha) with yield advantage over the check of 133.7% and 108.1% respectively. Results obtained from the three agro climatic conditions justify the recommendation of releasing "YG - 13" and "YG - 1O" varieties for Northern highlands of Yemen under suggested names of "Kohlan - 1" and "Kohlan - 2".
